 Question and Answer:

1. How large is a miniature  cow?

The most common standard for miniature cow size is the one published by the IMCBR.  It defines cattle height classifications as illustrated below at 3 years of age or older:

2. Why does Gilreath Farms raise Red Angus cattle instead of Black Angus cattle?

This can be answered very simply.  While we prefer the look of the Red Angus in the pasture, that is not why we raise them.  In our experience, Red Angus cattle are more docile and generally friendlier than Black Angus.  This makes them easier to work and more of joy to have on the farm.
